Relationship Between Self-Control and Impression Management
An Online Study
This online study aims to replicate and extend our research on the relationship between people’s ability to maintain control over their verbal behaviour and the degree to which they are able to make a positive first impression meeting new people. Participants complete a cognitive self-control task, which assesses their ability to control verbal behaviour and engage in a social interaction task with a research assistant. Participants will also be asked to complete several questionnaires about their behaviour during the tasks.
If you are interested in participating in this study, you can sign up via Concordia’s Participant Pool website (if you are a student collecting course credits) or you can contact us by email at cbt@concordia.ca. It will be a pleasure to schedule an appointment with you according to your availability.
